The pace of Republican healthcare destruction requires a massive and immediate response by the American people to oppose their actions.
Please feel free to use these graphics I created with to communicate our determination to resist them now, and punish them later, if they proceed as they’ve been directed by their billionaire donor class.
An obvious use is to print and use the messages as signs, flyers or handouts at rallies, marches, protests and townhall meetings. The media loves to focus in on simple clear graphic messages in their TV and print reporting of events.
Since the birth of the Resistance, Republicans in Congress have often have stopped answering their phones and allow their voicemail boxes to become full to accept no additional message, limiting what is often described as the most effective way to send a message to representatives.
But sending postal mail is also an extremely effective way to have your voice heard. Print and sign the graphic messages (identifying yourself as a constituent, if possible) and send them via postal or express mail. Print out a few extra and put a stamp on a pre-addressed envelop to make it easier for family and friends to also send a message too. Sending a faxes also works, but fax machines can be turned of.
Sending images by email is usually not possible through representatives’ websites due to the restrictions on the text box forms you are forced to use, and apparently emails aren’t taken so seriously as phone calls and postal mail anyway. But still, if you have the time, sending an email can’t hurt either.
Social media is always a great way to propagate a message, particularly a clear and simple one, but usually only gets as far as people who are like-minded and reading your posts. But motivating others to message their representatives is what it all about, even if it doesn’t reach the “other side” directly. Seeing the same message repeatedly all over the Internet communicates the breadth and size of the movement.
